Taboo for Mental Disorders

We live in an age where logic and technology prevails. We have moved past the times of snake charmers and the mystic healers but apparently people haven't been able to fully let go of the mentality of that era. Many teams of Schizophrenia Treatment Center in Gurgaon and also the Bipolar Disorder Treatment in Gurgaon, have raised such taboo issues that with the increase in the cases of more fatal diseases, the world has grown more and more concerned over combating these bringers of death. Lying in the shadows and ignored are the more subtle threats like mental disorders.

The team of Schizophrenia Treatment Center in Gurgaon states that while being not as flashy as the others, these disorders hold the potential to eat up on humans from within. Mental disorders, destruction from within, silent like an assassin hidden in the dark, creeps up as a small insecurity, a droplet of doubt that takes over one's entire being. Tearing the fabric of conscience slowly but steadily. These harmless looking critters can destroy entire forests of thoughts if left unchecked. A daily life body response-Anxiety can take the form of Anxiety Disorder and cripple a person's confidence.

It cuts so deep and prevents the victim from showing the scars to boot. Ashamed of one's own thoughts, the victim collapses within himself without even being able to face himself. Depression is one other example that makes living a challenge for the person. They want to be productive but the demonization. They want to live but pray to die. The battle of contradictions takes toll on the brain eventually, once again, ruining a life. Some other mental illnesses include schizophrenia, eating disorders and addictive behaviors.

Mental illness refers to a wide range of mental health conditions — disorders that affect your mood, thinking and behavior. When you look around you will find that mental disorders are quite common. Stats tell us that one in every five adults suffer with some sort of mental disorder. It's very unfortunate and sad that it's still considered so insignificant. Society made it a taboo, forcing the people into hiding. The fear of being tossed aside kept them from opening up. With changing times the situation has started to look better but due to lack of awareness and knowledge people fail to receive the proper aid on time.

People group all the disorders together without realizing that each requires different treatment for each individual. Everyone's way of coping with these disorders is different. But people seem to forget that and force their beliefs on them, shunning them out. It's time we end this belief that mental disorders are unspeakable, that they deserve the same attention and care as the physical illnesses, that these are not hexes cast upon us but a distorted state of mind.
