It is a very controversial topic as people indeed never want to disclose and use the word in front of their parents or in the media. But, in a survey it was indeed found by the Drug Rehabilitation Center in Gurgaon that almost 21% of the patients were sincerely engaged and addicted towards both these sinful activities. The Drug Rehabilitation Center in Gurgaon thus came forward and talked about the negative impact of pornography in the society and how dangerous it is for the women.

Pornography is a topic which has always been a heated up discussion for our India society for past many years. In Indian culture it is considered as a shame or taboo to discuss about this topic in public. The word pornography comes from Greek word meaning ‘WHORE’, ‘PROSTITUTE’ or basically ‘buying and selling of women’s’. If the word in single can have such a dark and shameful meaning just think what can be its actual relative outcomes. Recently, In India mostly all mobile network companies have banned Internet Porn. In accordance to this incident there were many small riots and rally’s performed on street for, up against banning Internet Pornography.

Porn also has its negative outcomes. Thus, such a major step was taken as, first of all it gives an unrealistic view of the female body. A big number of male and female scholars have given their opinion; they think that in the eyes of an addicted porn viewer, women and men can never be equal. The amount of editing these video sites do to show their porn artists as perfect create similar impact on the viewers, thinking of exactly the same body posture a women should inculcate, thus ending up ‘BODY SHAMING’. These teenagers get a wrong meaning of sexuality which has negative effects on them in the future as fear of remaining unfaithful to their partners or sometimes fear of getting married too. Studies reveal that video porn is far more arousing than static porn.

Studies also stated an action named as ‘THE COOLIDGE EFFECT’. In this effect it is stated that men normally ejaculate more sperms and that to quickly after watching a porn star. This powerful response thus attracts the viewer to watch porn again and again. The most active aged viewers of porn were found among the teenage groups or period. As a teen’s brain remains at its peak for production of new experience’s making it highly vulnerable to addict to sexual conditioning.

In April 2015, it became an offence to share private sexual photographs or films without the subject’s consent. India has always been a country where being sober in any culture is an utmost ideology. Still, there are many debates and discussions carried on in relation for banning porn sites. For some it’s a blessing and to be called as taken the correct decision but for some just opposite and for an incorrect one. It is thus our responsibility to understand this agenda at a personal and public level and think that what decision would be more likeable and sober for our mere future generations.
